Khulo-Tago Cable Car

The Khulo-Tago Cable Car is an authentic historic aerial ropeway built in 1985 under the leadership of engineer Shota Ordzhonikidze. Its length is about 1720 meters, and its height above the ground reaches 280 meters. The uniqueness of this cable car lies in the fact that it spans across the gorge without a single intermediate support tower, making it the second longest freely suspended cable car in Europe. The cable car connects the settlement of Khulo and the village of Tago, situated approximately 1000 meters above sea level, offering views of the Adjaristskali Gorge.

This cable car is used not only as an attraction, but also as everyday transport for local residents, making it a living route connecting two mountain communities. The cable car operates daily from 09:00 to 18:00, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. You can visit it year-round, but it is especially recommended between May and October, when roads are accessible and visibility is excellent.
