An incredibly scenic canyon formed by the Okatse River in the Imereti region.
Okatse Canyon is one of Georgia’s most impressive natural wonders, located in Khoni Municipality, near Gordi village. It is renowned for its unique pedestrian trail that runs directly above the gorge. This canyon is an ideal spot for thrill-seekers and fans of breathtaking views.
The main attraction of the canyon is a suspended metal trail about 800 meters long, hanging at a height of more than 140 meters above the ground. A walk along it offers unforgettable emotions and allows you to see stunning views of the gorge, the Okatse River, and the surrounding forest. The route starts from the visitor center, from where you need to walk about 2 kilometers through a scenic forest to reach the beginning of the trail.
Admission to the canyon is paid. The ticket price for adults is 20 GEL, and for children aged 6 to 18 years it is 5.5 GEL. From the visitor center to the start of the suspension trail, you can take a taxi for 50 GEL, which will save time. The best time to visit the canyon is from spring to late autumn, as in winter the trail may be closed due to weather conditions.
