A stone spiral labyrinth laid out on the ground, with a central column and an image of a palm print
The Labyrinth of Desires is one of the most unusual and symbolic art objects on New Boulevard in Batumi. Located in Lech and Maria Kaczynski Park, this labyrinth consists of a stone spiral laid out on the ground. In its very center stands a special column called the "pillar of desires" with a handprint, toward which every visitor heads. This project, created with support from Lithuania, symbolizes hope and faith in fulfilling dreams.
The main feature of the labyrinth is a ritual traditionally performed here. According to the instructions at the entrance, one should enter the labyrinth, make a wish, and then leisurely follow the entire spiral path to the very center. Once at the column, you should place your hand on the palm print and focus on your dream before concluding the walk. Many visitors share in reviews that after such a ritual, their wishes begin to come true.
The labyrinth is open 24/7 free of charge, making it an ideal venue for solitary contemplation at any time. It attracts visitors not only by its concept, but also by its aesthetics: it is a beautiful and inspiring space where one can take a break from the hustle and bustle and reflect on what matters most.
