One of the most beautiful and well-preserved bridges in the region, recognized as a monument of Georgia’s cultural heritage.
Dandalo Bridge is one of the most impressive and ancient stone arched bridges in Adjara, located approximately 55 kilometers from Batumi on the Adjaristskali River near Dandalo village. Built in the 11th–12th centuries, this bridge amazes with its graceful architecture and harmony with surrounding nature: its high stone arch spans a rushing mountain river, while dense forests and scenic hills stretch around it.
The length of the bridge is about 20 meters, width: about 2 meters, and the height above water reaches 10 meters. Despite its age, Dandalo Bridge is perfectly preserved and is still used as a pedestrian walkway. It is considered one of the finest examples of medieval Georgian engineering and is included in the list of cultural monuments of the region.
