The planespotting platform in Batumi is situated on the northern side of the international airport runway, literally between the sea and the runway, just about 250 meters from the shoreline. As a result, incoming aircraft glide right above spectators at an altitude of just 15-20 meters, yielding incredible shots and thrilling sensations.
To get there, you can stroll along the promenade of New Batumi, ride an electric scooter or bicycle, or take bus 10a. A taxi from the city center will cost 5-7 GEL and take about 20 minutes.
