The jewel of Mtirala Park is a cascading 15-meter waterfall in a lush thicket, easily accessible along a well-maintained trail via a rope bridge and rainforest.
Tsablnari Waterfall is a scenic and easily accessible natural wonder located in the very heart of Mtirala National Park. It lies on the park's main hiking trail: Tsablnari Trail. This loop route is about 7 kilometers long. The path to the waterfall crosses a suspension bridge, a scenic viewpoint, a natural spring, and cozy resting areas with benches. The trail is well equipped with markers, making it uncomplicated and suitable even for families with children.
The waterfall is surrounded by moist Colchic forest, which strikes with an abundance of mosses, lianas, and flowering rhododendrons, creating an atmosphere of wild subtropical nature. This is one of the most popular trails in Mtirala and is frequently included in group tours. Near the waterfall there is a special rest area where you can have a picnic while observing park rules. Swimming here is not prohibited, but the water in the waterfall is very cold, which adds a special thrill to water procedures on a hot day.
Tsablnari Waterfall is ideal for easy hiking: it requires no special physical preparation, yet offers vivid impressions of Adjara's nature. This trail is great for families, photographers, and anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Mtirala forest without arduous trekking. When planning a hike to the waterfall, departing in the morning (before 11:00) is recommended to return before dark. In summer, the forest can be very damp and slippery, so be sure to choose shoes with good traction. In the rainy season, in spring or autumn, the waterfall becomes mightier and more spectacular, but keep in mind that the trail may be temporarily closed for safety reasons.
