Batumi Railway Station

The railway station is a modern transportation hub located on the northeastern outskirts of Batumi. It is situated about 4 kilometers from the old city center. The new station, built in 2015, replaced the old one that stood in the center of Batumi and closed in the late 20th century. Today it is a key hub for comfortable travel around Georgia and beyond.

The station building is modern. It features spacious waiting rooms, ticket counters, a cloakroom, and luggage storage. Ramps are provided for passengers with disabilities. The station is highly functional: it is combined with a bus station and a small shopping mall. Here you can find cafes, shops, and various services. There are also business zones.

Stadler KISS high-speed trains depart daily from Batumi Central Railway Station along the Batumi-Tbilisi route (the trip takes about 5-6 hours). There are also services to Kutaisi, and occasionally international routes such as to Yerevan. Tickets can be purchased online on the website railway.ge or at the railway station ticket offices. The station is open 24/7, and ticket offices operate according to train schedules. The center of Batumi is easy to reach by bus 10 or by taxi.
