The oldest cultural centre in the city, where thousands of books in different languages are collected and literary meetings for all generations are held.
The most famous library in the city is the Akaki Tsereteli Public Library. It is located in a colorful building with carved doors and terracotta walls, and at the entrance guests are greeted by a fountain in the form of a shell with a pearl. Around it there is a cozy garden with benches and spreading trees - an ideal place for rest and reading in the shade.
There is a special atmosphere inside the library: an old hall with wooden furniture, a rich collection of literature in different languages, archives with audio and video materials. Here you can find both classical works and modern books, as well as get acquainted with the history of the region through literature and art. The library actively participates in the cultural life of the city, organizes exhibitions, meetings with writers and educational programs.
