Puppet theatre

The Batumi Puppet Theatre is one of the most vibrant and atmospheric cultural attractions of the city, located in the very center, not far from the embankment and the main walking routes. The theater was founded in 1936, when the first puppet show took place on its stage, and since then it has become a favorite place for family leisure and creative inspiration for children and adults.

The theater building is recognized as a monument of cultural heritage of Georgia and has recently been completely reconstructed, preserving the historical appearance and receiving modern technical capabilities for productions. The theater's repertoire includes about 30 performances: from classic fairy tales such as "The Three Little Pigs", "Puss in Boots", "Little Red Riding Hood" to Georgian folk stories. The productions are distinguished by bright puppets, colorful decorations and musical accompaniment, which allows you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the fairy tale, regardless of age and even without knowledge of the Georgian language.

The Batumi Puppet Theatre is famous not only for its performances, but also for its participation in international festivals, where it has repeatedly received awards for originality and mastery of performance. Performances usually take place on weekends, lasting 30-45 minutes, which is ideal for families with children. Tickets are available at a reasonable price, and children under 3 years old are admitted free.
