This is not just an embankment, it is the pulsating heart of the city, its green artery, and the most favorite recreation spot for both residents of Batumi and numerous guests. The boulevard stretches for seven kilometers along the beach and the central part of the city.
The history of the boulevard spans more than 140 years. The idea of its creation was born in 1881 by Governor Smekalov. Throughout its entire history, the boulevard has continuously evolved and improved, transforming into a harmonious blend of nature and architecture. Here, among more than 40,000 trees, palms, shrubs, and flowerbeds, magnificent views of the Black Sea and mountain peaks open up, while in the evenings one can admire unforgettable Batumi sunsets.
