Mtatsminda Amusement Park

The largest amusement park in Georgia, situated at the summit of Mount Mtatsminda, featuring panoramic views of Tbilisi, a Ferris wheel, funicular, and zones for all ages.

Mtatsminda Park is one of Tbilisi's main hallmarks, located at the summit of the eponymous "Holy Mountain", the highest peak towering over the capital. It is not just an amusement park, but a full-fledged recreation area offering some of the finest panoramic views across the city. A vital part of the experience is the ride up to the park aboard the famous Tbilisi funicular, which has carried locals and guests to the top since 1905, offering breathtaking vistas along the way.

The park's center of attraction is a giant 65-meter Ferris wheel installed right on the edge of the plateau. It is from here that you can take the most striking photos of Tbilisi. The park grounds are divided into several zones: children's, family, and extreme. There are roller coasters, a drop tower, water rides, and numerous carousels for the youngest visitors, making the park an ideal vacation spot for visitors of all ages. Next to the park rises the Tbilisi TV Tower, an integral symbol of the city's skyline.

To visit the park, it is important to know its payment system. Entrance to the grounds is free, allowing you simply to come here to stroll and enjoy the views. However, to use the funicular or any of the rides, you need to purchase a unified park plastic card at the ticket office and top it up with the required amount. In addition to the funicular, you can reach the top of the mountain by city bus or by taxi via the motor road.

Mtatsminda Park is open to visitors daily, typically from noon until late in the evening. Experienced travelers recommend coming in the afternoon to catch the city in daylight, watch the sunset, and enjoy it glowing with night lights. Additionally, when ascending or descending via the funicular, you can make a stop at the middle station to visit the Pantheon, a necropolis where many prominent Georgian writers and public figures are buried, including Alexander Griboyedov.
